As a technical communicator, I use technology to help companies, employees and customers understand things.

I accomplish that with:

1) Technical Writing--My greatest strength is writing. I have a natural flair for written communication and can easily express complex matters in very simple language. I have a Bachelor's degree in English and acheived a certificate in technical writing through Cal State Fullerton's Extended Education program.

2) Web Coding & Programming--I have received 15 months of training in HTML, and CSS. In addition to an online class on the former, I have taken beginning and advanced Dreamweaver classes. My duties as Volunteer Webmaster for PMI-OC require me to regularly update and maintain a content-managed site by writing and editing XML, creating graphic design elements (such as banners) and cleaning up legacy code. I have WordPress and Joomla sites that I maintain and I am also in the midst of learning PHP and MySQL.

3) Flash Animation/ActionScript 3.0--I was introduced to Flash in May 2010 and rapidly obtained proficiency in that application. I excelled in an ActionScript 3.0 class in the Fall semester. Flash's ability to import audio, video, and graphic elements to create a fully interactive and highly educational environment makes it one of my very favorite tools.
